Juliet’s Diary – Entry 1

Dear Diary,

Today I heard of a fight breaking down between Gregory and a Montague, I believe his name was Sampson so that makes him a rival of the Capulet family. Those two are always looking for trouble! Then, I heard that Tybalt and Benvolio came and saw what was happening. Tybalt came before the prince did, but he didn’t want to split them up… instead he wanted to fight as well! If it weren’t for Prince Escalus there would’ve been a huge problem. Who knows what might’ve happened when they were both armed with swords and shields.

I would ask my father and mother if they went in and split them up, but I know my father wouldn’t go into all detail. I know for sure if I asked my mother, she wouldn’t tell me either because all she ever thinks about is marriage and the nurse as well so I wouldn’t try to ask anyone. I’ll just stay wondering about what happened.

Romeo’s Diary – Entry 1

Dear Diary,

I am heartbroken! Why must Rosaline not feel the same way I feel about her? She has promised to never marry but she is such a wonderful woman, and it will be very hard to forget everything about her. Benvolio is telling me to forget her and to look at other girls but how can I do such thing?! I don’t think I will ever forget her. I’m so in love with her and I will never look at another girl the way I look at her. I’m so in love with this woman and no one can compare to her.

I also heard about a fight that went down from Benvolio. I’m too heartbroken to even remember the details or to know if he even told me about what went down but now, I’m curious about what might’ve happened. But enough of that. Why doesn’t Rosaline love me? I could never compare her to another girl she is perfect. How does Benvolio plan on making her forget her? Impossible.

  Juliet’s Diary – Entry 6 Dear Diary,   Romeo came to my house to say his last goodbyes. I wanted that moment to last longer. I was hoping my parents didn’t catch him by my window. But Romeo thought the opposite. He wanted to get caught because he thought he rather be dead if that was what I wanted. That was ridiculous. After that, Nurse came in to tell my mother was coming to my bedroom, so I had to say my farewells to Romeo. I had to fake I was crying over Tybalt’s death even though it was because I don’t know when I will be seeing my husband again.   My mother gave me the news that I will be marrying Paris. I obviously denied the offer because I rather marry Romeo which who I am already married to but of course mother didn’t take good. When father heard everything, I said and when I didn’t accept his offer, they both got really angry at me. I’m so upset about this, and I don’t know what to do! I must stay loyal Romeo. Act 2 Scene 2 - Entry 3

  Juliet’s Diary – Entry 3 Dear Diary,   After that party, I went up to my room and got dressed back to my normal clothes and started talking about my dear Romeo. How could he be a Montague? Can’t he just not be a Montague? If he were to say he wasn’t a Montague... I without a doubt will not be a Capulet anymore just for him! If my family hears me saying this, I would most definitely be so done for sure. I sort of feel like someone is overhearing what I’ve been saying all this time.   After that, I heard someone answering everything that came out of my mouth! I looked over at the balcony and saw it was Romeo, the Montague I’m so in love with. I wonder how he found me but besides that we had such a good time talking. We are also talking about marriage and I’m so excited for the ceremony tomorrow. But while we were talking about our plans, Nurse kept interrupting me! Juliet’s Diary – Entry 2 Dear Diary, Today was the party! I was wearing a beautiful costume. Before this party I heard Paris and my father talking about him wanting to marry me, but he said that he has to try to win my over. Why just not say no? I do not wish to marry him. Besides, I met a very handsome guy at the party, and I am so in love with him. We talked for only a few seconds, but I already know he’s the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. He kissed me twice as well. I asked nurse to go and ask for his name. But I just found out he is a Montague from nurse. I’m in love with a Montague? My rival? How could this be?! I hope nurse didn’t hear what I said. But I want him to be the one I marry. If it’s not him then I rather spend the rest of my life alone and die that way.
